Northern Lights feminised seeds present a classic Afghani × Thai pairing, commonly described as approximately 90% indica and 10% sativa. Plants generally show a compact, broad-leaf structure indoors, while outdoor specimens can stretch considerably when given a long, bright growing season. As feminised seeds, they are intended to produce predominantly female plants, making crop planning more straightforward.

THC is listed at 14–18%, with CBD at 0–1.5%, although cannabinoid levels can vary with phenotype, environment and harvest timing. Individual experiences are subjective: some consumers describe the effect as calming, relaxed and gently euphoric, sometimes becoming sleepy later. Others report an uplifting opening before a heavier, settled sensation develops. Growing in Australia

Northern Lights is considered a beginner-friendly option thanks to its manageable indoor size and relatively short flowering period. It can suit hot, dry regions, temperate areas and cooler locations with shorter summers. Local conditions vary widely across Australia, so growers should account for humidity, rainfall, wind and seasonal temperature changes when planning their setup.

For outdoor cultivation, spring planting generally falls between September and November. In warmer northern areas, strong airflow and shade during extreme heat may help limit stress. In temperate and cooler southern regions, selecting a sunny position and maintaining good drainage can reduce risk from autumn moisture and mould.

Indoor

Indoors, Northern Lights may remain up to about 80 cm, depending on vegetative time, container size and training. Its compact frame can work well where vertical room is limited. The flowering stage is typically listed at 7–8 weeks.

• Airflow: Keep air moving through dense foliage, particularly as flowers gain weight.

Outdoor

Outdoors, plants may reach up to 200 cm where root space, sunlight and the growing season allow. Branch support can be useful as flowers become denser. In exposed locations, shelter from severe wind may protect the structure, while spacing plants generously can improve airflow and access.

Potential outdoor yield is listed at up to 900 g per plant under favourable conditions. This figure is not assured; phenotype, climate, soil, plant care, pests and seasonal weather can all influence the final result.

Harvest

Australian outdoor harvest commonly falls between March and May, with warmer regions often finishing earlier and cool districts potentially running later. Check flower development rather than relying only on calendar dates. Indoor plants are usually assessed after 7–8 weeks of flowering. At harvest, handle flowers carefully to preserve their sweet, citrus-led aroma and distinctive lemon-skunk character. Dry slowly in a dark, ventilated space with stable conditions before storage.
