Purple Kush is a 100% indica cross of Hindu Kush and Purple Afghani, presented in the Outback Seed Bank catalogue as feminised seed. THC is listed at approximately 17–27%, with CBD around 0–0.3%. Individual experiences vary, but Purple Kush is often described as deeply relaxed, sleepy, euphoric and happy, sometimes accompanied by an increased appetite. These subjective effects may feel particularly heavy due to the strain’s indica character.

The aromatic profile blends earthy and sweet notes with fruit, spice and ripe grape. Myrcene, beta-caryophyllene and pinene are the prominent listed terpenes, contributing to its layered Kush aroma and flavour.

Growing in Australia

Purple Kush is suited to temperate and hot, dry Australian conditions. Its naturally compact form can fit smaller gardens, balconies or controlled indoor spaces. Feminised seeds are intended to produce female plants, although plant expression and final performance remain dependent on genetics, environment and care.

For outdoor cultivation, spring planting generally falls between September and November. Select a position with strong sunlight, airflow and well-draining growing media. In humid regions, spacing and canopy management can help reduce the risk of mould around dense flowers.

Indoor

Indoors, Purple Kush can reach up to 80 cm and has a listed flowering period of around 7–8 weeks. Its short stature suits tents and rooms where vertical clearance is limited. Gentle training may help create an even canopy and improve light distribution.

Actual height, colour, aroma and production can vary considerably with local weather, container size, nutrition, soil quality and grower experience.

Hot, dry regions may require careful moisture monitoring, while temperate or coastal locations benefit from attention to late-season rain and humidity. Support branches as flowers gain weight and inspect dense growth regularly.

Harvest

Australian outdoor harvest usually falls between March and May, depending on planting time, latitude and seasonal conditions. Assess flower maturity rather than relying on dates alone. Once cut, flowers should be dried slowly in a dark, ventilated space with controlled humidity. Listed yields are estimates rather than assured outcomes.
