Romulan is a feminised, indica-dominant strain with an estimated 75% indica and 25% sativa profile. Its North American lineage is not fully established; some versions are described as North American Indica crossed with White Rhino. This uncertainty means individual phenotypes may vary in structure, aroma and finishing time.

THC potential is listed at approximately 18–20%, while CBD is estimated at 0.1–0.5%. Potency and cannabinoid levels can differ with phenotype, environment and cultivation choices. Growing in Australia

Romulan is considered an intermediate-level selection suited to temperate regions and hot, dry conditions. Its indica influence generally supports sturdy branching and a relatively manageable frame, though outdoor plants may become substantially larger. Australian growers should account for local humidity, rainfall, heat and daylight patterns when planning their setup.

For seasonal outdoor cultivation, spring planting generally falls between September and November. Choose a position with strong direct light, airflow and enough room for lateral branching. Always check the rules applying in your state or territory before acquiring or cultivating seeds.

Indoor

Indoors, Romulan may reach up to 120 cm and typically flowers for around 8–9 weeks. A consistent light cycle and good canopy spacing can help maintain even development. Gentle training may make the most of the available area, while support for heavier branches can be useful later in flowering.

Indoor yield potential is listed at up to 500 g/m² under suitable conditions. This figure is a reference rather than an assured outcome. Maintain steady ventilation and monitor moisture around dense flowers to reduce mould risk. Its pungent pine, earth and spice aroma may become pronounced as flowering progresses.

Outdoor

Outdoors, plants may grow up to 200 cm where root space, sunlight and seasonal conditions are favourable. Potential production is listed at up to 800 g per plant, although weather, phenotype, plant care and site quality all influence the final result.

Romulan generally favours warmth and good airflow. In temperate areas, select a sunny location with drainage and some shelter from extended autumn rain. Regular branch inspection is worthwhile as flowers gain weight. Spacing plants generously can improve air movement and reduce risk during humid periods.

Harvest

Australian outdoor harvest commonly falls between March and May. Timing varies by latitude, planting date and phenotype, so assess flower maturity directly rather than relying only on the calendar. Indoors, expect approximately 8–9 weeks of flowering. At maturity, Romulan tends to display dense flowers, rich resin coverage and a strong earthy-pine fragrance with herbal, woody and spicy accents.
