What expiation means
An eligible minor offence may be dealt with through a notice and fee instead of immediate prosecution. Failing to resolve a notice can lead to further enforcement.
Where the pathway stops
Larger quantities, supply, trafficking and cultivation outside the prescribed minor-offence settings remain criminal matters with substantially different consequences.
