Tasmania may use a staged diversion response for an eligible minor drug offence. It remains an offence, and the response can escalate with repeat conduct or different circumstances.
Cultivation is not covered
A possession diversion pathway does not create a lawful home-grow allowance. Cultivation and supply are separate offences.
